The design and implementation of a building program is the difficult and sometimes trying process that business owners and institutions must go through when growth necessitates the expansion of their facilities.

Architects, engineers and design consultants are brought on board, the owner assigns a team from his staff to head up the effort, design starts and the project is underway. Design is developed, construction documents are prepared and put out for pricing. Bids come in and the project is over budget! Now what? Redesign and lose time? Increase the budget? Abandon the project?

Architects and engineers are in the business of designing facilities that meet owner needs in terms of space and program. They are not in the business of preparing schedules and construction budgets. Management’s main focus and area of expertise is its company’s business, not developing and tracking project budgets and schedules, implementing cost controls during design or managing construction.

There is a gap in services during pre-construction and construction. The missing link is a project team member with the experience and expertise to provide accurate, objective and reliable information, and real-time solutions during design and construction.

Erickson Consulting provides the construction management services needed to fill that gap. Our goal is to work with our clients as partners on their building projects, providing them with the information they need to make informed decisions and the skillful means necessary to ensure the success of their project.
